Prerequisite: 6 credit hours in History or permission of Instructor.

This course will examine selected themes, moments, and experiences pivotal to the history of Canada in the decades following the conclusion of the Second World War to the present.  Particular attention will be paid to women, minorities, Indigenous peoples, and the working classes, as well as to broad political, social, and economic currents fundamental to shaping and challenging concepts of Canadian nationalism and identity.

3 hours per week, one term.
