This is a preparatory course for Fine Arts honours graduates. The concepts of writing proposals and presenting graduating thesis will be investigated. Concentration will be on producing articulate, well-communicated proposals toward the eventual graduate exhibition of a body of artwork.
Revised Course Description
This course is a practical guide for the preparation of a thesis exhibition. It also prepares students to enter the professional art world beyond graduation. Students will build master archives of their artwork and CV’s and tailor portfolios for specific arts organizations, calls for artist submissions and proposal development. Documentation and publication of artwork is also emphasized. Simultaneously students will develop the theoretical and conceptual basis of their thesis exhibition and produce key artworks that demonstrate their concept.
