Prerequisite: 05:160 or permission of Instructor.

This course will incorporate the basic principles of Hockey Canada’s Development 1 hockey module. It will be an activity-based
course, which will focus on the preparation, presentation, practice, and performance of coaching and hockey skills and knowledge.

More specifically, the course will discuss developing a supportive environment for athletes in training, practice planning, analyzing
performance including detecting and correcting skills, as well as coaching decision making and ethics.
