A body systems approach to gathering essential assessment data is provided for students to establish a foundation for the development of health assessment skills. Consideration of life-span differences, and the use of communication and critical thinking skills in the collection and analysis of assessment data will be included. Simulated opportunities are provided in the lab for students to practise assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
