Prerequisite: 78:172 or permission of Instructor.
This course studies the political and military strategies of major powers and their importance in regional and local conflicts both during and after the Cold War. It examines the strategic objectives of major powers, their relations with each other, and their role in potential nuclear wars, global arms reduction and nuclear proliferation.
Credit cannot be held for both this course and 78:286.
