Prerequisite: 69:255.


This course examines the nursing care of individuals experiencing common medical conditions within a psychiatric nursing context. Attention will be given to pathophysiology, manifestations, diagnostic tests, and treatment approaches of select medical conditions and the role of the psychiatric nurse in providing care to individuals and their families. The theory will be supported by 96 hours of clinical experience under supervision in an appropriate setting.
