Effective interpersonal communication is the means by which a therapeutic relationship is established and maintained. This course examines the components of effective interpersonal communication as each relates to the therapeutic relationship development process. Opportunities to apply learning are provided.

- identify how verbal & non-verbal communication impacts the therapeutic relationship.
- recognize factors that influence therapeutic interpersonal communication.
- differentiate between therapeutic and non-therapeutic techniques.
