Course Description
This practicum course is concerned with the application of clinical skills used to provide psychiatric nursing care for an adult client who is dealing with an acute episode of mental illness. Students will apply theory and concepts learned in prerequisite courses. Students will develop independent learning objectives consistent with their clients' mental health problems. Students will practice as part of the health team in an acute adult inpatient facility. Credit for this course will be graded Pass/Fail.
