Prerequisite: 16:395 with "C+" or better grade or permission of Instructor. (Students are advised to take this course after completing a minimum of 60 credit hours of courses.) The course will cover the principles, concepts and analytical structures that have been developed to assist senior management with the formulation and implementation of business strategy. Analysis of cases drawn from a variety of industries and business environments and occasionally a business simulation will be used to develop expertise in the application of the relevant techniques and intuition to the strategic issues that real-world companies face. Most of the theory and concepts used will draw from other disciplines in business and economics.
