62:292 Linear Algebra II [Plosker]

Prerequisite: 62:181 MATH, 62:182 MATH and 62:261 MATH.

This course is a continuation of 62:182 MATH Linear Algebra I. The material is presented in a more rigorous manner and in a more abstract setting, with examples drawn from calculus. Topics covered will include: Fields, abstract vector spaces, bases and dimension, linear mappings and operators, similarity and diagonalization, inner products and Gram-Schmidt orthonormalization.

3 lecture hours per week, one term.
