Prerequisite: Nil.

The focus of this course is on the role of the early and middle years teacher in providing inclusive education within the classroom to a diverse student population. This course develops inclusive educational practices and provides a critical examination on the Manitoba context, including the Public Schools Amendment Act (Appropriate Education Programming), and the concepts of exceptionalities, disabilities, and learner differences. Instruction about how to deploy a universal design for instruction, adaptation, modifications, and the provision of assistive technology is also included.
