07:714 (NT2) Introduction to Educational Research Methodologies [Okrainec]

Prerequisite: Admission to M.Ed. program.

The course examines research methodologies in education as a
means to inform educational practice. Students will critically examine existing studies. Students will be guided to develop their critical thinking and reflection abilities to recognize the qualities of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research. These skills will serve as a foundation for more advanced courses in research methodologies and methods, and for conducting independent research or participating on a research team.

Credit cannot be held for both this course and 04:714.3 lecture hours per week, one term.
